Irish Lights is seeking an experienced electronic technician to join the Coastal Operations Team as an Electronic and Navigation Systems Lead (ENSL).  

The successful candidate will work closely with the team in fault analysis and rectification of critical defects and outages in the Aids to Navigation (AtoN) System. They will be expected to liaise and provide feedback to the Design Team and ICT Department to help inform system design and performance. They will lead the pre-assembly, preparation and testing of navigation equipment such as AIS, lights, Racons and similar for deployment on at lighthouses and buoys. 

Applicants must be an experienced electronic technician with a relevant professional qualification. Knowledge of marine Aids to Navigation, including Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), will be an advantage. 

The starting point of the eight-point salary scale is €47,313 rising to €55,552 together with an attractive total reward package that includes – a generous defined benefit pension scheme, paid sick leave scheme, family friendly policies, an Occupational Health Service, onsite parking and a subsidised canteen.
