We are delighted to have launched two new smart buoys, bringing our tweeting smart buoy family to seven. The new additions are the South Hunter Buoy (off the coast of Larne) and Foyle Buoy (at the entrance to Lough Foyle). Like our other smart buoys, these new ones will publish information like wind speed and sea temperature via Twitter and our MetOcean graphs site. The raw data is available via RSS and JSON. See the Resources section, below, for links to these data feeds.
The two new buoys are in addition to the Ballybunion, Coningbeg, Dublin Bay, Finnis and Splaugh buoys and will provide more detailed information on weather conditions around the coast of Ireland.
